Learn and Create Custom Marimekko Fabric Wall Hangings

Select Marimekko fabric(s), use mats, and mount and measure to walk away with a complete piece of framed Marimekko wall art.

clear explanation, demonstration, and a "practice run", you'll learn :

Cutting techniques
·
How to join metered lengths of mounting to
create stretchers and frames
·
The sequence of steps used in stretching canvas
·
How to plan, mark up and create a box / tray
frame and attach a stretched piece into it
· What accessories are used to attach
stretched canvases into conventional frames
· And . . . how to assemble the framed art - in store and right on our work tables.

Fees: Based on frame size and include all materials.
- 24" x 24" = $60 (or two for $80)

Classes are limited to four participants per timed interval.

All participants have hands-on training time and the equipment will be shared. You will walk away with your wall art.
- Since we will be running many DIY events and classes in our store, we've begun to classify the DIY "skill" level we believe would be ideal for a given DIY event. We consider the ideal "aptitude" for this event to be intermediate. Then again, we are here to help and vouch that even beginning DIY-"ers" will come away with something absolutely beautiful.
